"Your Song"

"Your Song" was composed and performed by Elton John in 1970, which is quite surprising to me as I really thought this song came out a lot later. Probably because this song has been sung by so many singers and used in so many flicks. As there are so many versions I will reveal to you the one's I enjoyed the most.

Well the reason I remembered how beautiful this song is, is because I saw "Gnomeo and Juliet" a couple of weeks ago and I said to myself.. I have to include this song in my favourites as it's just beautiful. The movie was a very sweet animation and the music they included in the soundtrack is just great. Sneak peek of the clip from the movie with a short version of "Gnomeo and Juliet" version and Elton John's version is mixed in the one I included.

I remember distinctly hearing this song in "Moulin Rouge"(featuring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor) performed by Ewan McGregor in the movie in 2001. A very talented man being able to act and sing so well. He does a great version of this song in a great musical. I can't help but associate this with "Come What May" , this was another Unbelievable song with a great melody and beautiful lyrics. It also featured in "Moulin Rouge" and was performed by both McGregor and Kidman. So for your pleasure I have included this song too..What do you think of it?

I can't not mention the great lyrics and meaning of the lyrics of "Your Song" , It's just like someone special speaking to you from the heart , you can really hear the words. Who wouldn't want a song dedicated to them as "Your song".I'm still waiting for "My song" hint hint nudge nudge wink wink. Another grand song is the lyrics of "Come what may" , well need I say more?
