"If I could turn back time"

"If I could turn back time" was performed by Cher and released in 1989 and there was quite a bit of controversy regarding her outfit at the time , in fact MTV banned the video and then only played the video after 9pm. A "censored video" with new scenes was then made which was considered less "sexually explicit". If MTV only knew then what they know now? If only they could turn back time ?Can you imagine all the singers in this day and age trying to promote themselves on MTV in the late 80's or 90's by acting the way they do now and running around half naked... it would be unheard of! That would never have been shown on MTV .Who says then if they would have even been called"Artists". It just would have had to be based on pure talent wouldn't it? Obviously MTV became more leniant over the years .Despite how she's dressed in this video , Cher still manages to maintain some class and it also doesn't hurt that the woman can sing !

I've always loved this tune , it's a catchy one. I love the words, there's always something I wish I could go back in time to change. Although we shouldn't have regrets , sometimes you just can't help it . It's just part of our nature ( or my nature) to want to go back and change something we said or did. I think if I could turn back time right now.. I would take myself 5 years back and I would eat more creamy pasta from my best italian restaurant and then eat some more Cadburys chocolate from South Africa.One has to remember I was also 8kgs my junior ( in other words 8 kgs lighter ) so give or take I could eat myself 2 kgs heavier at the least. The moral of the story( or the song) ..enjoy your life and live so you have no regrets and always remember to eat and be merry !!
