"Wouldn't it be nice" was performed by Beach Boys, composed and produced by Brian Wilson in 1966 - a song before my time. I still love it , although I think I'm in a Time Warp . I was born in the wrong era I tell you..least the foods good. This song takes me back to chocolate , what has chocolate got to do with it?Let me say of all the lands I've been to far and wide there is no Cadburys like South African Cadburys.Where am I going with this you ask ? Well although I struggled to locate the South African version of this ad..the ads are all pretty much similar ( although I wish this chocolate was the same smooth richness as South African Cadburys wherever I went in the world )
The song with it's original lyrics are sweet(excuse the pun ), Brian Wilson explained how they talk about what children go through like "wouldn't it be nice if we could be older or could run away and get married " In that case I'm still a children cause I'd love to be older run away and get married haha okay maybe not the older part but the married part.. sure why not? Well also wouldn't it be nice if the world were ..... okay save that for the second video?
So question is What If??? Don't we just drive ourselves mad thinking how it could be, should be would be if only....? I know I do !
The lyrics for the original song(not the chocolate one) are below
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together
In the kind of world where we belong
You know its gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together
Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through
Happy times together we've been spending
I wish that every kiss was neverending
Wouldn't it be nice
Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do
We could be married
And then we'd be happy
Wouldn't it be nice
You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But lets talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice
Good night my baby
Sleep tight my baby
The Original Song by Beach Boys is posted below but I wasn't able to locate the original video so I've posted it along with a trailer from 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler ( an average movie in my opinion) The song is fantabulous ( is there such a word ) ?
Now one of my favourite Ads below .. Hillariously wierd
