You win again was written and performed by the Bee Gees in 1987. This brings back a lot of memories of "the good ol days" , everytime I hear this song it's just like taking in a scent from a period of your life you'll never forget. The feeling never changes and in one flash it takes you back.

The trips to Cape Town were just incredible, round that time we used to wake up at the dawn of crack. I mean the crack of dawn (Big Bison thats for you) and start our drive all the way through the Garden Route to Cape Town. I remember my mother preparing padkos ( food for the journey) in specific I remember boiled eggs (smelled a bit off.. but delish nonetheless ) and my brother and I playing on those little computer hand-games before Nintendo Gameboy even came out. I would ask when are we going to see the sea? We lived so far from the sea (a drive from Joburg to Cape Town was a good 17 hours with all the stops we made) that every trip was a dream come true for me, especially when I got a peak of that first blue blue water from a far.What a treat , I couldn't wait to go to the beach! Flashforward a good few years, a good few pounds heftier and here I sit in Australia with the ocean stretched right here in front of my very own balcony..just 10 minutes to the beach and do you think I even appreciate how wonderful that is or even go? ..well no not really. I guess we take things for granted when we have them everyday.

The actual lyrics I never really knew to be honest it was more about the melody and the memories it brings. Now when I check them out they aren't really the same words as what I would sing along to haha...don't you just love it when you turn the lyrics of a famous song into your own ?
